Help cover Doylestown Cemetery veterans’ graves for Wreaths Across America event

Posted

A Wreaths Across America event will be held at the Doylestown Cemetery Saturday, Dec. 16.

There will be a memorial wreath-laying ceremony at 9 a.m. in the center of the cemetery, followed by the actual wreath laying on the 1,100 veterans’ graves.

The last day to buy wreaths and get them delivered in time is Nov. 28. Those who buy two wreaths will receive a third one free, according to Doylestown Post 175 VFW, which is sponsoring the event for the first time this year with hopes of making it an annual one.

The event is being supported by numerous local organizations, such as the YMCA, American Legion, Marine Corps League, Borough of Doylestown and others.

To buy/donate wreaths so participants can cover all 1,110 veteran graves with a wreath, visit wreathsacrossamerica.org/PA0816 or use the QR on the event flyer; it leads directly to the Doylestown Cemetery Wreaths Across America website. You can also sign up to volunteer to place wreaths and provide other support.
