Wedding and event venue owner expands Bucks portfolio

Posted

Bill Haas, the owner of three prominent Bucks County wedding and event venues, has expanded his portfolio with the acquisition of Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Purchased for $3.15 million on June 3, the property includes the 35,000-square-foot manor and the 12,000-square-foot Spring Mill Athletic Club.

Haas, who also owns Pen Ryn Estate in Bensalem, plans a $2 million renovation to transform Spring Mill Manor into a luxurious estate reminiscent of the Gilded Age.

The overhaul, expected to be completed by late fall, will include extensive updates to the gardens, north and south wings, and various interior features such as rooms, carpeting, wallpaper, chandeliers, and wall sconces.

The redesign will allow the manor to host two events simultaneously.

Each wing will feature its own garden, ceremony location, cocktail hour space, grand ballroom, and bridal suites.

Spring Mill Athletic Club will close after Labor Day and is not part of the initial renovation plans.

Spring Mill Manor is currently accepting bookings for 2025 and beyond, with no events impacted by the ongoing renovations. Haas aims to hire approximately 60 new employees to support the revamped venue.
