Bensalem High School senior Samantha Bajek recently performed first trumpet at the PMEA Region VI Band Festival at Downingtown High School West along with over 120 of the best band students from 45 schools in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia and Delaware counties.
Bajek will once again represent BHS on the trumpet at the PMEA Region VI Orchestra festival later this month.
Bajek, Ethan Hinshaw, Emiliano Quinones and Margaret MacAdams performed at the PMEA Region VI Chorus Festival at Quakertown Community High School. The students were selected by audition, competing against students from schools in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia and Delaware counties.
Quinones was a featured soloist during the concert. Hinshaw, Bajek and MacAdams will move on to represent BHS at the PMEA All-State festival held in April in Erie; all three ranked No. 1 in their sections.
PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of over 4,000 members dedicated to promoting and supporting quality music education, learning and performance in schools and communities in Pennsylvania.
