Mom’s cross-country bike ride “4TeamBrock” stops in Falls

Posted

Debbie Tallman Curtis’s bike ride from San Diego to New York City in honor of her son Brock included a stop in Bucks County Tuesday.

Through the 3,000+ mile ride, Curtis is spreading a message of hope and acceptance, raising awareness of mental health issues, and generating donations to support suicide prevention efforts.

It also called attention to the work that the nonprofit Tallman-Curtis Family Foundation Inc. (4TeamBrock) is doing in the name of Brock Curtis, the New York man who died by suicide in 2021 at the age of 24, following a long battle with mental illness.

Tuesday’s stop in Falls Township at the home of her brother Wayne Tallman and his family came just a day before she arrived in New York City to complete the ride.

“Wayne and Dorie, their kids, neighbors and other friends gave me a huge welcome and lots of hugs,” Debbie wrote on the blog that chronicled her journey. “I was even able to meet and hold my newest grand nephew, my birthday buddy, Mason Thomas born just a couple weeks ago. I truly am privileged.”
