Oxford Enhanced Senior Living celebrates 6 centenarian birthdays

Posted

Oxford Enhanced Senior Living recently hosted a birthday bash for six Langhorne residents who are becoming centenarians this year. All of the celebrants are longtime residents – ranging from six to 15 years – at the independent-living community.

They include Laura DeChico (born Nov. 15, 1924), Ann Roberts (Feb. 18. 1924), Catherine McGinty (May 3, 1924), Hazel Worsman (May 22, 1924), Paula Spigler (June 24, 1924) and Bernie Rice (June 19, 1924).

The centenarians and their guests – including fellow Oxford residents and staff as well as immediate family members – were treated to cake, activities and entertainment provided by a three-piece band.

Coming from all different walks of life, and from as far away as Poland and Alabama, these centenarians have each lived unique lives filled with joy and precious memories. Some of the celebrants answered questions about their lives, discussing topics such as childhood memories, love and advice for future generations.

“Our 2024 centenarians are such great examples of seniors who live life to its fullest, and their stories are inspiring,” said Marisa Romanini, executive director at Oxford Enhanced Senior Living. “It is such a joy to be able to honor these residents, especially because they have been part of the Oxford family for so many years.”
