Summer in Chalfont is about to get a lot cooler.
Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream will soon be opening up shop in the borough’s Manhattan Bagel on the corner of East Butler Avenue and Main Street, the owners of Nina’s and the Chalfont Manhattan Bagel recently announced on social media.
In a unique partnership, Nina’s owners and the bagel franchise owners will be trading off the keys each day, explained Alexis Zanias, co-owner of Nina’s. When Manhattan Bagel closes at 2 p.m., Nina’s will take over the space at 3 p.m.
“That hour in between is crucial,” said Zanias. “It’s organized to ensure the switch will be seamless.”
The grand opening for the Nina’s side of the operation is set for Saturday, June 29 at 3 p.m.
“Nina’s will never overlap with Manhattan Bagel,” stressed Zanias.
Known for its authentic Liege Waffles and wide selection of hand-crafted ice cream flavors, Nina’s has earned a large and loyal following.
Chalfont will be its sixth store, adding to those in Doylestown, Dublin, New Hope, Newtown and Peddler’s Village in Lahaska.
