Casey Schaeffer of Yardley, a freshman at Pennsbury High School, was selected as a Distinguished Pennsylvania State Finalist by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. She also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States’ largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. Schaeffer organizes the Full Hearts Kids Carnival, which raises funds for such organizations as Soldier’s Hands. With the teenager are her parents, Chuck and Jenny Schaeffer.
