Scholarships of $2,500 went to 19 members of the Dining Service Staff at Pine Run Retirement Community this month.
Residents and their families at Pine Run Village, the Health Center and Lakeview all contributed to the fund to make the scholarships, totaling $47,500, possible.
The recipients, all graduating seniors at local high schools bound for college or technical schooling, each worked at Pine Run for at least 350 hours over the past year and completed a scholarship application with two essay questions.
