Perkasie hires two new police officers

Posted

Perkasie recently welcomed officers Justin Nyce and Mark Compas to the borough police department, according to a press released posted on the department’s Crimewatch page.

Nyce graduated from the Montgomery County Police Academy on June 12, and previously worked with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia as a deputy sheriff in the patrol division. He is a U.S. Marine Corps Reservist, who holds the rank of staff sergeant.

Compas has more than 14 years of police service with the Tinicum Township and Newtown Borough police departments. He also served in the Marines, taking part in several overseas deployments and attaining the rank of sergeant. He is also a skydiving instructor.

Nyce and Compas, whose hirings fill two Perkasie Police Department vacancies, were sworn in during the June 17 Perkasie Borough Council Meeting.
