Council Rock School District teacher Dave Curry is the recipient of the Paul DeHart Hurd Award, presented by the National Middle Level Science Teachers Association (NMLSTA), a division affiliate of the National Science Teachers’ Association.
Sponsored by FOSS/School Specialty Inc., the award is given to a member of the NMLSTA who has demonstrated both exemplary science teaching performance in a middle level classroom, and leadership in sharing these skills and ideas with others.
A science teacher at Newtown Middle School, Curry received a $1,000 prize from FOSS/School Specialty Inc., complimentary membership for one year in the NMLSTA and a plaque.
The award was presented at the NSTA National Convention in Atlanta in March.
