Lambertville Goes Wild hosts native plant sale

Posted

Lambertville Goes Wild (LGW) is sponsoring a native plant sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Cavallo Park, 2 Mount Hope St., Lambertville, N.J., rain or shine.

The park has a playground where the kids can play while families shop.

Toadshade Wildflower Farm and East Coast Natives will be offering plants for sale, including perennials, shrubs, and trees. Toadshade pre-orders can be easily placed at www.toadshade.com through the end of the day Thursday, May 30.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve and the Native Plant Society of New Jersey will have representatives and information available. LGW team members will be happy to answer your questions about gardening for wildlife, and to help identify mystery plants from your property.

Lambertville Goes Wild is a volunteer group working to promote wider use of native plants, a key element in supporting local wildlife, particularly birds and imperiled pollinators such as butterflies and bees. LGW successfully led Lambertville to certification as a Community Wildlife Habitat. For information, visit lambertvillegoeswild.weebly.com and the Lambertville Goes Wild Facebook page.
