Ilya Breyman announces campaign for state representative

Posted

Ilya Breyman of Holland, Northampton Township, has announced his bid for state representative in the open 178th House District.
“I am running for office because I am deeply concerned by the division in our communities. I came to this country as a Jewish refugee from Putin’s Russia, with dreams of an open, inclusive, America where our family could pursue our dreams. As we are united in supporting freedom and democracy in Ukraine, we can be united in our resolve to provide opportunities for everyone to pursue their American Dream. Only as a community with shared values are we able to take a stand against tyranny” Breyman said.

The father of two elementary school-aged children and the son of a retired public school teacher, he is the CEO and cofounder of an education technology company.
Breyman holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University as well as a master’s in education entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. His legislative priorities include improving access to high quality education, conservation, creating new jobs in traditional and emerging industries, and creating a level playing field so local businesses can thrive.
