Harpist Claire Thai will perform at Bucks County Symphony Orchestra Fall Soirée

Bucks County Symphony Orchestra’s Fall Soirée features Claire Thai, harpist, winner of numerous international awards and competitions.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8.30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Darke Hollow Farm, 226 East Dark Hollow Road, Pipersville. The Fall Soirée benefits the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra’s programming and partnership in education.

A buffet supper, beverages and desserts will be provided before the intimate performance.

Tickets available for $100 per person. Tickets are limited, please reserve early.

Thai is an internationally recognized harpist, most recently having won a prestigious Anne Adams Award, Lyon and Healy Award, first place at the Suoni d’Arpa competition in Italy, and first place at the International Portuguese harp competition.

Also a composer, Thai was recently commissioned by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra to compose and premiere a harp concerto, as well as perform the Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp.

She received a Bachelor’s degree in Harp Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music, and is continuing her education at Curtis in the Master’s program.
