Posted

Palisades junior Savannah Witt won the 118-pound title at the inaugural PIAA girls wrestling championships, held last week at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Fellow Pirate Bryce Snyder joined Witt on the PIAA podium, capturing fourth place in the 190-pound bracket.

In addition, Quakertown’s Caroline Hattala (190) claimed sixth place and teammate Peyton Fries (235) finished in seventh in their weight classes.

The Herald will have more on Witt’s historic win in a future edition.
