Foundations Community Partnership awards 19 scholarships


Foundations Community Partnership awarded scholarships to 19 Bucks County high school seniors through its annual Partnership in Education program this month.

The Partnership in Education program recognizes the achievements of local Bucks County public and technical high school seniors for their demonstrated community service, commitment to academic performance, and quality of character. Students are nominated to receive the award by their guidance counselor or a member of the school’s administration.

Ronald Bernstein, Executive Director of Foundations Community Partnership presented checks for $1,000 to 19 Bucks County high school students: Bensalem resident Keith Rooney at Bensalem High School (attending Arizona State University); Bristol resident Malia Vaughn at Bristol-Boro Sr. High School (attending Penn State University); Furlong resident Anna Bound at Central Bucks High School East (attending University of California Santa Barbara) Chalfont resident Juntae Rocker at Central Bucks High School South (attending Penn State University); Doylestown resident Hina Rub at Central Bucks High School West (attending Drexel University); Newtown resident Ethan Stein at Council Rock High School North (attending West Chester University); Holland resident Vraj Shah at Council Rock High School South (attending Temple University); Levittown resident Juliana Oestreich at Harry S. Truman High School (attending Howard University) and Dublin resident Kiersten Phillips at Upper Bucks County Technical School (attending Bucks County Community College).

Also receieving awards were: Fairless Hills resident Alex VanReymersdal at Bucks County Technical High School (attending Drexel University); Morrisville resident Brianna Worrell at Morrisville Senior High School (attending Arcadia University); Langhorne resident Jordan Wasnock at Neshaminy High School (attending Seton Hall University); Doylestown resident Kellyann Reidy at New Hope-Solebury High School (attending Boston University); Erwinna resident Michael Swope at Palisades High School (attending Penn State University); Ottsville resident Evan Miller at Pennridge High School (attending University of Pittsburgh); Morrisville resident Pranav Chivukula at Pennsbury High School (attending University of Maryland); Quakertown resident David Fletcher at Quakertown Community High School (attending University of Notre Dame); Southampton resident Amanda Kerr at William Tennent High School (attending Penn State University); and Chalfont resident Samuel Johnson at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (attending Penn State University).
