Doylestown resident wins $1M in Powerball drawing

Posted

It wasn’t the nearly two billion Powerball jackpot, but it wasn’t too shabby, either.

A $1 million ticket was sold at the Shell Station (Saibaba’s Aashirwood Forever) at 4247 West Swamp Road in Doylestown, according to Pennsylvania lottery officials.

The winner matched five of the five white balls drawn – 28-45-53-56-69.

A $5,000 bonus goes to the station owner.

According to the Washington Post, numbers were drawn Tuesday morning for the Powerball jackpot after a delay of several hours. The numbers drawn were 56-41-33-47-10, and the Powerball was 10.

A single ticket sold in Los Angeles County, Calif., won the record-breaking $2.04 billion Powerball drawing Tuesday, Powerball officials announced.

The drawing, originally scheduled for Monday night, was delayed for technical reasons, the Michigan Lottery announced on Twitter, because “one participating lottery is still processing its sales and play data.”

Powerball requires all 48 participating lotteries to send in key information before the drawing, the statement said.
