Doylestown Library slates book sale and prize drawing

The Friends of the Doylestown Library will hold its outdoor Beach Read Book Sale and Best of Friends Prize Drawing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the garden patio outside the Doylestown Library Center, 150 S. Pine St., Doylestown.

The rain date is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11.

The Beach Read Book Sale will feature gently-used paperback fiction and children’s books of all genres, for $1 each.

“The book sale is an opportunity to stock up on summer reading while supporting our local library,” said Liz McCarthy, chairperson of the Friends Book Sale Committee. “We’re grateful for all the book donations we receive throughout the year.”

In addition, during the sale, the Best of Friends Prize Drawing will be held, featuring prizes donated from the following local businesses: Altomonte’s Italian Market & Deli, Blaker Associates Speech Pathology, Borough Bagels, Carroll’s Jewelers, The County Theater, Jules Thin Crust, Maryanne Pastry Shoppe, Maximuck’s Farm Market, None Such Farm Market, Nonno’s Italian Coffee Parlor, Salon 39, Town and Country Players, Wild Birds Unlimited and YMCA of Bucks County.

Participants can purchase tickets and enter them in the drawing(s) for whichever prize(s) they want to win. Winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the book sale – winners will be notified by phone, and need not be present.
