Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,758,146

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on Feb. 28, there were 1,168 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,758,146.

There were 8 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 43,332 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 470,412 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,070,069 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 121,888 cases and 1,836 deaths
  • Chester County: 90,583 cases and 1,113 deaths
  • Delaware County: 108,839 cases and 1,823 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 88,793 cases and 1,224 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 149,843 cases and 2,270 deaths
  • Northampton County: 78,813 cases and 1,068 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 304,364 cases and 4,972 deaths
