CB West’s Class of 1972 celebrates 50th reunion

Posted

About 90 people celebrated the 50-year reunion of the graduating Class of 1972 from Central Bucks High School West on May 21 at The Warrington events venue in Warrington.

Fifty years ago, on June 12, 1972, 415 high school students graduated after attendance as sophomores, juniors and seniors from a high school that opened its doors in September of 1969 with the name Central Bucks High School West (formerly Central Bucks High School, founded in 1952), located at 375 W. Court St., Doylestown.

At the same time, a brand new high school opened called Central Bucks High School East, located at 2804 Holicong Road, Doylestown (Buckingham Township).

The total amount of students at Central Bucks High School warranted a new school be built and the students were divided geographically into the sister high schools.
