CB East, West teams Kick for Pink

Posted

They may wear different colors on the field, but last Friday night the Central Bucks East and West soccer players were all united behind the color pink.

The girls and boys teams’ Kick for Pink games, played in honor of breast cancer survivors and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, took place at Patriot Stadium, with East boys topping their district rivals 2-0 and the girls battling to a 0-0 tie.

Cancer survivors were acknowledged during halftime of the girls game after being escorted onto the field by CB East and West players. Event proceeds benefit Kin Wellness and Support Center in Furlong, which provides free services to cancer patients.

At press time, East boys were 13-1, West boys 8-7, East girls 11-2-2 and West girls 10-2-1 with a week left to play in the regular season.
