Central Bucks South, East move on in district boys lacrosse tournament

Posted

Four area teams kicked off the District One Class 3A boys lacrosse tournament Tuesday – two from Central Bucks and the two Council Rocks – but only one school district has something to smile about heading into the second half of the week.

No. 13 Central Bucks South defeated No. 20 Council Rock North 12-9 in Warrington while host Central Bucks East, the 10th seed, topped No. 23 Haverford 6-4 in the first round. Meanwhile, No. 17 Council Rock South joined sister school North in exiting the postseason, falling to host and 16th seed Conestoga 9-3.

The Titans and Patriots join No. 6 Central Bucks West – which earned a first-round bye – in Thursday’s second round. South heads to No. 4 Radnor, East travels to No. 7 Spring-Ford and West hosts No. 11 Ridley while No. 5 Pennridge, coming off a first-round bye, welcomes No. 12 Downingtown West to Perkasie.
