Over the weekend, three senior residents from Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL), a nonprofit continuing care retirement community organization based in Pennsylvania, participated in a Camaro Ride Along at Maple Grove Raceway in Berks County.
The trip was part of the organization’s WEL Wishes program – a program dedicated to encouraging and supporting seniors as they fulfill their lifelong dreams.
As WEL Doylestown resident Shirley was reminiscing, she recalled spending time with her friends years ago while they watched and appreciated the intricate hot rod vehicles on the road. When the WEL Doylestown team learned of this, they organized the trip as an opportunity for Shirley and her two friends to ride along in a Camaro with speeds up to 100 mph.
