Yardley’s Gather Place holding poetry writing workshop

Posted

A community poetry writing workshop led by Yardley Borough resident and Bucks County Poet Laureate Emeritus Corie Feiner will be held 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The event is being held at the Gather Place Museum, a former African Methodist Episcopal Church turned into a museum highlighting local African American and other history by a nonprofit called Gather Place. It’s located at 188 S. Canal St. in the borough.

Organizers are asking for a $10 donation to participate, with all proceeds benefiting Gather Place. To reserve a space, visit gatherplace.org.

“We will have fun creating a collaborative poem for the entire community to enjoy,” stated an advertisement for the event. “We will get zany with metaphors, rhythm and movement. Be ready to walk away with new skills and inspiration.”
