Yard sale to benefit Aislinn’s Wish

Posted

On Sept. 9 and 10, several households are holding a yard sale in Kintnersville to benefit Aislinn’s Wish.

Instead of pricing the items, they require that anyone purchasing something makes a donation to Aislinn’s Wish (aislinnswish.org). Supervised donation jars will be set up at the sale with information about Aislinn’s Wish. All money will go to the foundation.

The sale is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, at 13 William Road, Kintnersville.

Aislin’s mother, Amy Fadden, grew up in Upper Black Eddy and most of her extended family still lives there. Amy, a Palisades High School alumna, lives in North Carolina with her husband and two children.

Aislinn has a rare, fatal genetic disorder called Sanfilippo Syndrome. Amy and her husband, Brian, lead Aislinn’s Wish, a nonprofit foundation with a mission to raise awareness and financial support for Sanfilippo syndrome research, to help find cure.
