Weekly Coronavirus Briefing for June 22

Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,987,357

Harrisburg — The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed that as of June 22, the statewide cumulative total cases of COVID-19 is 2,987,357.

There are 2,468,374 confirmed cases and 518,983 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases.

The Pennsylvania death registry reported a cumulative total of 45,657 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

Numbers by county as of June 22

  • Bucks County: 133,251 cases and 1,940 deaths
  • Chester County: 100,611 cases and 1,187 deaths
  • Delaware County: 120,156 cases and 1,894 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 95,557 cases and 1,273 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 168,647 cases and 2,373 deaths
  • Northampton County: 85,400 cases and 1,121 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 333,458 cases and 5,163 deaths

The Department of Health continues to provide the public with extensive and frequently updated data on both the COVID-19 dashboard and the vaccine dashboard. Both dashboards provide an interactive experience for the user to review statewide and local-level data updated daily.

The department will continue to provide data via online dashboards; however,  the dashboards will be updated on a weekly basis.
