The Alpha Resource center changes name to The Divorce Recovery Center

Posted

Divorce brings financial and emotional challenges that are often devastating for adults and their children.

With an average of 60% of marriages ending in divorce (a number that has grown even higher since the pandemic) there is a compelling need for support and education resources to guide families through this difficult life transition.

The Divorce Recovery Center (DRC) is a nonprofit dedicated to giving families the guidance, support and resources they need to survive and even thrive after this major life transition. Over the past year, under the prior name of Alpha Resource Center, this organization has touched the lives of thousands of people through on-line and in-person resources.

The DRC board of directors, most of whom have been through divorce themselves, are focused on growing awareness of the current divorce support groups for adults, teens and children as well as developing new psychoeducation programs on related topics.

“People in our community struggle every day as they walk through trials of divorce, and we hope that The Divorce Recovery Center will make it easier for them to find the support they need to face their future with hope,” said Joanna DiRenzo, interim executive director

The center can be reached at 800-242-6712.
