Posted

“Still Alice” is based on the 2007 novel by Lisa Genova. It stars Julianne Moore as a linguistics professor diagnosed with familial Alzheimer’s disease shortly after her 50th birthday. The film won numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actress for Moore.

Following the movie, panelists will be available to take questions from the audience and share their knowledge, expertise, and experience with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Panelists will include Pickering Manor CEO David Woodhead, NHA; Homewatch CareGivers President and CEO Bindu Agarwal; and Maggie Sullivan, a certified facilitator of caregiver support groups for the Alzheimer’s Association at Chandler Hall for 30 years, a New York Times published author, and a long-time caregiver for her mother who lived with Alzheimer’s for more than 10 years.

All proceeds from this screening benefit the Pickering Manor Auxiliary.
