As Springtown Rod and Gun Club kicked off its annual fishing derby April 9, it paid tribute to Ron Fox for over 50 years of volunteer service working the trout nursery, the only nursery in Bucks County, in a cooperative operation with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
Springfield Township Supervisor Jim Nilsen read a proclamation honoring Fox and club President Pat McGinness presented him with a sign designating the trout nursery, which is now officially named the Ron Fox Co-op Trout Nursery.
“We all deem it an honor to extend this certificate and sign of recognition for Ron’s years of loyal service and extend our sincerest congratulations and thanks,” said McGinness.
