Solebury police working to ID body pulled from Delaware River

Posted

Police in Solebury are tracking “potential leads” and awaiting the results of an autopsy and forensic investigative testing as they try to identify the body pulled from the Delaware River on Easter morning.

They’ve said only that it was the body of an adult male.

A passerby walking on the Delaware River Canal Towpath at about 10:15 a.m. Sunday reportedly observed what appeared to be a human body lodged on rocks in the river.

Police responded to the river just north of Route 263 along with marine units from the New Hope Eagle and Point Pleasant fire companies. They confirmed the man was dead.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
