The Doylestown men’s rugby team had a very successful outing against West Chester University on March 25. The final score of the home match was 65-17.

Try scorers for the Dragons were Matthew Frederick (five), Eric French (three), Kevin Reilly (one), Julio Marsiglia (one) and Brian Stella (one). Jeremy Ault added five conversions. The Man of the Match was Matthew Frederick.

Next up for Doylestown is Temple University on Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m. at the home pitch, Maennerchor Field, 3650 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown.

The Doylestown women’s rugby team lost in a hard-fought and muddy match to North East Irish Women on March 25. The final score of the match, which was played at home, was 10-0.

The team will travel to Harrisburg on April 1 for a match against Harrisburg Women. Kickoff is 11 a.m.

In the season opener, the Doylestown Rugby Academy high school boys team fell to Malvern Prep on March 26. The final score of the home match was 36-17.

Try scorers for Doylestown were: Tyler Darrows (two) and Santiago Bustelo (one). Andrew Gilroy kicked one conversion.

The Dragons will play Conestoga on Sunday, April 2, at the home pitch at Maennerchor Field, 3650 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

On March 19, the Doylestown Rugby Academy high school girls lost to West Carroll, 31-7. Maddie Rosato scored the lone try, and Nolah Flynn made the conversion.

Doylestown defeated North Bay 38-10. Sydney Haddon had two tries. Noelle Robinson, Sydney Worthington, Siena Accardi, and Nolah Flynn each had one try. Flynn made four conversions.

On March 26, the high school girls took on the Knightmares of Lancaster at home, and won 24-12. It was their first RugbyPA league match.

Captain Maddie Doyle scored three tries. Savannah Hines had one try and Flynn made two conversions.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy middle school girls team won against the Knightmares’ middle school team, 22-0. Tries were scored by MJ Cashman, Fiona Bonenberger, Leah Cipollo, and Kayla Robinson. Robinson also made one conversion.

Doylestown will travel to Mount Vernon Memorial Park, home of Rugby NY, to take on Play Rugby USA in the next EGRL match Sunday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m.

The Doylestown Rugby Academy junior boys team defeated Elizabethtown on March 26. The final score of the preseason home match was 84-0.

Try scorers were: Aaron Kelly (four), Marco Burns (two), Jameson King (two), Joey Craig (two), Jackson Hornick (two), Jackson Reilly (one) and Brandon Zubyk (one). Conversions were kicked by Jamie Weir (five), Joey Craig (one) and Augie Verrecchia (one).

The Dragons will open their league season with a home match against Conestoga on April 2, at noon at Maennerchor Field.

On the last play of the match, the Doylestown Rugby Academy youth boys team lost a close contest to Elizabethtown on March 26. The final score of the preseason home match was 17-12.

Try scorers were: Hunter Pulford (one) and Cross Cervellero (one). Pulford kicked one conversion.

The Dragons will open their league season with a home match against Conestoga 11 a.m. April 2 at Maennerchor Field.
