Riverside Symphonia to perform Valentine’s Day celebration concert

Posted

As part of the Riverside Symphonia’s 34th Season, the symphony will perform the concert “Romance de Amor” at the First Presbyterian Church in Lambertville, N.J., at 8 p.m. Feb. 10.

The Riverside Symphonia is delivering this experience as the perfect musical date with romantic and uplifting music to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Leading European classical guitar virtuoso Christof Messinger will join the chamber orchestra to charm the audience with Spanish, Mexican, and Argentinean melodies, and dances.

Among the surprise musical selections, the concert will be punctuated by a special performance of Ennio Morricone’s most tender compositions.

Riverside Symphonia Music Director Mariusz Smolij noted, “Romance is in the air throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, so the selections in this concert program will conjure up a feeling of romance and warmth, and a mood of delight will radiate for all to hear.”

For tickets and information, visit www.riversidesymphonia.org or call 609-397-7300. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate the evening of the concert. Tickets are $15 $35 $60.

The Symphonia would like to thank concert sponsors and volunteers who help make this event possible, including Golden Blossom Honey, The Presser Foundation, the Arthur Judson Foundation, Arts and Letters Foundation, NJM, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
