Lucianne DiLeo, a guiding light whose warmth, creativity and sense of humor brightened the lives of many, completed her earthly journey on Aug. 10, 2023. With a remarkable career spanning three decades as an outstanding guidance counselor in the Central Bucks School District, as an artist with a creative flair, and as a loving friend and family member, Lucianne’s legacy is etched into the hearts of all who had the joy of knowing her.

As a counselor, Lucianne’s dedication was unwavering. She was a beacon of hope for countless students and their families. Her passion for helping young minds find their potential and unique gifts was unparalleled, lifting their hearts and enlightening their minds with an appreciation and understanding of each other, and always with the laughter she brought to every corner of the school.

Lucianne’s compassion knew no bounds. She stood as a pillar of support, offering solace, guidance and an open heart to individuals in need. Her ability to empathize, to listen without judgment, and to provide comfort was a true testament to her genuine care for others. Her laughter and ability to find joy even in the face of challenges lifted spirits and created an environment where everyone felt at ease.

Lucianne found joy in creating unique graphic designs. She received her ultimate accomplishment and recognition in graphic design when the Bloomingdale’s Department Stores and other major department stores sold her silk screened shirts.

Where did Lucianne’s magic lie? Perhaps, it was in the effortless way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her belief in finding beauty within, respecting one another and embracing uniqueness remains her light that will carry us forward.

The artistic community of New Hope is where Lucianne lived for over 50 years. She loved New Hope as a place of peace, acceptance and beauty. She created a home with Geri Delevich and Carolyn Ambler who were her lifelong friends devoted to her throughout her life’s journey. In more recent times, joining their extended family was Jill Haegele who added her love, laughter and caring heart to their “Golden Girls” way of life. Her nephew Ron DiLeo brought love and laughter to their affectionate family bond. Loyal friends and family will cherish joyful memories with Lucianne, as she forever holds these precious relationships in her eternal heart and soul.

While Lucianne’s physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit lives on in the lives she transformed, the smiles she inspired, and the laughter she shared. A celebration of her life will be held at the Logan Inn in New Hope in early September.

In saying a final farewell to Lucianne, may we remember her kindness, her warmth, her compassion, her playfulness and her amazing sense of humor. May we keep her spirit alive by embodying the qualities she so beautifully exemplified. Following her lead, may we grow into our best selves.

Lucianne lived her life by Maya Angelou’s wisdom “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
