It was only recently that the Herald announced a commitment to reduce political strife in future articles and editorial pages. That sees to have been short-lived. A March 2 guest opinion, titled “Republicans, Fitzpatrick and socialism” reveals theauthor’s disdain for the Republican Party in the following paragraph: “The problem that Brian Fitzpatrick has is not that he fails to make some bipartisan efforts in Congress, but that he is a member of the Republican Party and does not have the power or the personal commitment to affect its fundamental unfocused, wasteful misuse of power.” Lovely.
