It has come to my attention that not everyone knows Pennsylvania is the second-largest producer of natural gas in the nation and plays a pivotal role in driving America forward. Plus, here at home, the natural gas and oil industry in Pennsylvania bolsters our economy, supporting 423,700 total jobs. The industry’s impact reverberates throughout our communities, creating a ripple effect of employment opportunities and economic growth.
Moreover, the $40.3 billion in labor income generated by those jobs underscores the importance and pride Pennsylvanians should have in the natural gas and oil industry.
