Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck said two veterans from the Vietnam War era and the wife of a veteran will be interred during the Unattended Veterans Service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

“The community is invited to join the Bucks County Coroner’s Office at the service that honors those who served our country as they are properly laid to rest,” Buck stated.

The ceremony will be held at 830 Highland Road, Newtown, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31.

The veterans being interred are:

•Stanley Creeley, U.S. Marine Corps (Lance Corporal), (Vietnam War Era), from Middletown Township (DOD: 10/26/2022);

•Marlene Sabetay, wife of veteran, from Doylestown Township (DOD: 06/03/2023);

•David Zdrojewski (DOD: 06/19/2023), Private First Class, (Vietnam War Era), from Bristol Township.

During the ceremony, their names will be read, and the Pennsylvania Military Honors team will present the flag on behalf of the veterans. A rifle salute and live Taps will be provided. After the ceremony, the veterans will each be placed in their own niche in the columbarium, which will be engraved with “Proudly Served.” Mrs. Sabetay will be interred privately with her husband.
