Philly Joe Tattoo Studio celebrates 5th anniversary

Posted

Philly Joe Tattoo Studio in Bensalem commemorates its five-year anniversary ahead of the 26th annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Festival at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Jan. 26 through 28, hosted by Villain Arts.

Founder Joe Thomas will appear alongside sponsor Tattoo Armour, a leading tattoo aftercare solution.

Since its inception in 2019, Philly Joe Tattoo Studio swiftly transformed from an 800-square-foot parlor into a 4,000-square-foot studio in Bensalem’s Village Center Shopping Center.

Philly Joe Tattoo Studio has immersed itself in the local community, from supporting veteran causes to cumulatively raising over $40,000 for a local animal shelter.

“My story wouldn’t be possible without the support and strength I derive from my family, team, customers, industry peers, and this amazing city,” said Thomas. “They embraced a once-troubled young man and helped me grow and find a positive path forward through art and community. I feel truly blessed, and it drives my desire to uplift others.”

In 2020, the studio broke new ground with the launch of “Tattooing with a Twist,” an experiential learning program inviting curious customers and budding artists to delve into the world of tattoo artistry. “Sipping Ink” offers a BYOB variant, merging artistry with social enjoyment.

“Participants come from across the spectrum – folks who want to learn more about the process before getting their first tattoo, aspiring artists, couples on an evening out, and group team building. No matter why they’re here, we want to give them a positive atmosphere to learn, experiment, and flex their creativity,” said Thomas.
