Perkasie wine event a benefit for Special Equestrians

Posted

For over 40 years, Special Equestrians has provided therapeutic horseback riding programs for children and adults with disabilities. “We harness the healing power of horses to transform lives,” the group says.

Located in Warrington, the group provides equine-assisted services for individuals with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional disabilities.

To help raise money for its therapeutic programming, Special Equestrians is hosting “Sippin’ for Special Equestrians” at Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery in Perkasie 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

Attendees can enjoy a glass of wine, light appetizers, raffle tickets and more in a relaxing atmosphere while supporting the group’s mission.

“Your support for this event will help us to keep our programs strong, provide care for our therapy horses, and offer scholarships for those who need financial assistance – 75% of the riders are children, and nearly 30% of participants require significant financial assistance in order to take part,” said Beth Morris, marketing and communications manager.
