The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is planning bridge construction on Newportville Road in Bristol and Bensalem townships, beginning Monday, Feb. 12.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction: Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a closure is scheduled on Newportville Road between Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
