Opera Project to help observe church’s 300th anniversary

Posted

The Opera Project will present a benefit concert at 3 p.m. March 19, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 98 Sky Manor Road, Pittstown, N.J., to celebrate its 300th anniversary.

The present church replaced a log or framed church, which was built around 1720. This church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 21, 1977. Set in bucolic Hunterdon County, it was featured in Sarah Jessica Parker’s movie debut, the 1983 film “Somewhere, Tomorrow.”

Tickets are available at the door. For information, contact Walt MacNicoll at 908-268-1264, or visit theoperaproject.us.
