Old Stone Coffeehouse presents evening of song celebrating March

Posted

Singers Sarah Stine, Marija Bonsai and Justine Langman will present an evening of song titled, “In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb,” at the Old Stone Coffeehouse at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 17.

Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. The concert will be held at the Old Stone Church at the corner of Route 519 and Oak Summit Road in Baptistown, N.J. To purchase tickets visit: theoldstonecoffeehouse.simpletix.com.

Stine, a soprano, Bosnar, mezzo-soprano, and Langman, pianist, will present a eclectic program that includes art song, musical theater, Celtic songs, and Irish hymns. They will celebrate the dualities of March, a month with a chaotic nature, whose ides arouse a sense of doom while its equinox nurtures hope.

Based in Highland Park, N.J., they are regular performers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York City. Langman is a native of Clinton Township.

The historic Old Stone Church is home to the First Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hunterdon County (FUUFHC). Partial proceeds from the concert will benefit one of several community organizations that the congregation helps support. These include Family Promise of Hunterdon County, NORWESCAP, and the Flemington Area Food Bank.
