Throughout the summer, the finest new stage productions from London’s National Theatre Live series are being shown on the big screen at the nonprofit County Theater, 20 E. State St., Doylestown.
National Theatre Live brings the best of British theater to a cinema screen. This summer’s lineup has included “Good” starring David Tennant, James Graham’s award-winning drama “Best of Enemies,” Aug. 20-27, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s award-winning one-woman show “Fleabag!” Aug. 17.
The fall lineup includes Lyndsey Turner’s “The Crucible,” as well as two special Art on Screen documentaries – “Titian: The Empire of Color” and “Borromini and Bernini: Challenge for Perfection.” Visit the County’s website for play dates and information on upcoming National Theatre productions and Art on Screen offerings in the fall.
General admission costs $19 per person, or $16 for members. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.
The County Theater, which opened in 1938, produces a variety of special events including Hollywood Summer Nights, Movies at the Mercer, $5 family matinees, and more.
