Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck identified the man who was recovered from Lake Nockamixon Thursday evening as Marvin Alexan Fernandez Chicas, 37.
He disappeared in the water following his rescue of two children who were swimming and appeared to be in distress. The Bucks County Coroner’s Office has confirmed his cause of death as drowning following this morning’s autopsy with the manner of death determined to be accidental.
His family has been notified and Buck stated, “Our office extends its deepest condolences to the Decedent’s family and friends during this difficult time as they process this tragic loss.”
