Love for the community grows at Bucks Country Gardens

Posted

Each year, Bucks Country Gardens kicks off a charity donation campaign to raise money for three local organizations that are positively impacting the community.

This year’s beneficiaries include a nature preserve, a food pantry, and an unsheltered-assistance coalition, all nonprofits improving the quality of life in Bucks County.

Customers made donations in-store over a two-month period. All contributions were then matched 100% by Bucks Country Gardens. Through everyone’s generosity, this year’s campaign raised a record-breaking $12,000 – a remarkable 50% increase over the previous year.

The full amount raised has been divided equally among the three beneficiaries:

• Peace Valley Nature Center (PVNC), which preserves a uniquely diverse wildlife habitat at Lake Galena with 15 miles of trails, offering guided walks, community events and educational programs.

• The Garden of Health Food Bank, which provides healthy, safe food for low-income families. Programs prepare participants for employment, enhancing food security and promoting financial independence.

• The Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH), which assists unsheltered adults, prioritizing providing shelter on Code Blue nights, while linking the homeless and financially distressed to needed resources.

On behalf of everyone at Bucks Country Gardens, Tom Hebel expressed his gratitude for the generosity of the community. “We couldn’t have done it without you! As Margaret Mead so famously said, ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.’”
