Television, stage and film actress Linda Kenyon brings her one-woman show, “Bon Appétit!” to the historic stage at Phillips’ Mill at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
Kenyon’s “extraordinary” portrayal of Julia Child has been entertaining audiences for years. During the performance, Kenyon transforms herself into Julia as she reveals details about the iconic cook’s life and rise to fame, as well as her close connection to the local Bucks County area.
While Julia’s culinary skills, distinctive voice and exuberance for French cooking are familiar to many, this show focuses on her fascinating personal life and the love story she shared with husband Paul Child, Montclair, N.J., native and brother of artist Charles Child, who lived in Lumberville.
“Linda really IS Julia Child! The hair, makeup, dress, voice and demeanor –– all of it. It really was amazing and so much fun to watch,” commented Betsy R. Graft on Kenyon’s website.
