Lambertville Historical Society Autumn House Tour to feature six homes

Posted

The Lambertville Historical Society will host its 40th Autumn House Tour on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Six homes will be featured. They range in style from Second Empire Italianate and Victorian, to an updated 1700s carriage house and a 19th century Lambertville Vernacular.

In addition to these beautiful homes, the Union Fire Company Museum will be open, the pride of this being a 1923 Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine that is a 900-gallon piston pumper.

Nearby the museum and also on the tour, probably the oldest house still standing in town, is Washington’s Headquarters. Twice during the Revolutionary War Washington and his officers stayed at the home, while preparing for battle.

The tour is self-guided and will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22. Tickets for the tour are $25 in advance ($30 on the day of the tour and $25 for LHS members at all times) and may be purchased through Eventbrite only at www.Lambertvillehistoricalsociety.org.
