Kruisin’ with K9s raises $29,000 for Warrington K9 Unit

Posted

Warrington Township Police Department’s 3rd annual Kruisin’ with K9s Car Show rolled into the Shops at Valley Square in Warrington Sept. 16, and raised over $29,000 for the K9 unit.

The event featured police vehicles, K9 demonstrations, over 160 vintage, antique and custom cars, as well as food, music, a moon bounce, and a 50/50 raffle drawing.

Kruisin’ with K9s is a major fundraiser for the Warrington Township Police Department’s K9 unit. The unit is about 90 percent funded by community donations.

“The was our best year yet and it keeps growing every year,” said Warrington Police Chief Daniel Friel. “Not only is this a fundraiser to support our K9 unit, it is also the largest free admission community event sponsored by the police department. So much generosity from our community and from sponsorships helped make this event possible and we are grateful to our volunteers and businesses in the area who helped out this year.”
