Kitten foster volunteers needed

Posted

Kitten season is here and during this critical time, many litters of stray, abandoned and orphaned baby kittens – newborn to less than 6 weeks old – are brought to Women’s Animal Center needing specialized care to survive, thrive and grow.

The center needs dedicated kitten foster volunteers to help with bottle-feeding these shelter kittens and caring for them in their homes until they are ready to be adopted into loving forever homes.

Women’s Animal Center, America’s First Animal Shelter, will provide a training session to help volunteers be successful foster parents as well as a foster starter kit with kitten care supplies.

Foster Program details and signup/application can be found on the center’s website at: https://womensanimalcenter.org/our-animal-shelter/foster-shelter-animal

Women’s Animal Center is also hosting a Kitten Shower on Thursday, April 25 at 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem. The public is invited to drop in between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to explore the shelter, learn about the kitten foster program, name a kitten and enjoy light refreshments.

Donations of kitten supplies accepted at the Kitten Shower and throughout the coming weeks are needed and appreciated: KMR formula, bottles/nipples for kitten feeding and Snugglesafe microwavable heating discs that can be found on the center’s Kitten Shower Wish List: https://www.chewy.com/g/womens-animal-center_b82722196

Monetary donations to help the Center purchase kitten foster kits for volunteers to care for the kittens also accepted and appreciated at: https://form-renderer-app.donorperfect.io/give/womens-animal-center/foster-kitten-supplies.
