James “Jim” W. Turner passed away peacefully July 27, 2023, at Pine Run Health Center in Doylestown, Pa. He was 87.

Jim was born and raised in Springfield, Mo. He attended University of Missouri where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and, most importantly, met the love of his life Judie. After graduating with a degree in engineering, Jim and Judie were married and Jim enlisted in the Navy. His professional career began at Honeywell where he spent 20 years starting as an engineer and then later transitioning to several leadership roles within sales and marketing. Jim’s career took them to many places before settling in Doylestown nearly 50 years ago. Jim and Judie had lived in the Pine Run Community for the last 13 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Orene Turner, in-laws Wilford and Clarice Heidecker, sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Kenneth Crumpley, and wife of 63 years Judie.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Clare Johnson (Ted) and Anne Payne (Rick); caring grandchildren Kate Samuels, Adam Payne and David Johnson, niece Linda (Bob) Lynch and nephew Jim (Gloria) Crumpley.

The family would like to give our sincere thanks to the entire Pine Run Community for their love and support through the years. We would also like to give special thanks to our incredible team of people from Pine Run Health Center second floor and Doylestown Hospital Hospice that helped our Dad and the family during this time.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 4259 W. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18902 or doylestownhealthfoundation.org/tribute would be greatly appreciated.
