The Hunterdon County Rug Artisans Guild sponsored its one-day hook-in Saturday, June 4, at St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church in Flemington, N.J.
Participants gathered to work on their rug-hooking projects, shop the vendors and win the many door prizes.
“Our hook-ins provide a good time to gather and catch up with friends,” said Lisa Savino, co-president of the Guild. “The rugs worked on represented the full range of styles and themes popular with contemporary rug hookers – primitive wide cut, detailed narrow cut, geometric, pictorial and Oriental. The general feeling was that the time went too fast.”
At the same time, Guild members donated numerous items in support of the Flemington Area Food Pantry. Thanks from the Guild to everyone who brought a donation.
