The Holistic Healing Center recently moved from Lahaska to Doylestown.
Dr. Debbie Bernstein has been serving the Bucks County community for well over 20 years and was at the location in Lahaska since 2002.
At the Holistic Healing Center, the team of practitioners consider sthe whole person and work with each individual to optimize their health and well-being. Bernstein and registered dietitian and nutritionist Kirsten Hamilton seek to uncover root causes of health issues. They each strive to create a partnership with the patients.
Understanding the connection between lifestyle and well-being, Bernstein is boarded in physical medicine and rehabilitation and integrative medicine. She also has a master’s in bio-nutrition and is an Institute for Functional Medicine certified practitioner.
Hamilton has studied functional integrative medicine and is a functional medicine nutrition specialist, and has had rigorous training from the Institute for Functional Medicine. She works in conjunction with the doctor and independently.
Debbie Garlits is the lifestyle support specialist and has a certification from the HeartMath Institute in stress management and educates patients on various stress management and lifestyle enhancing practices.
Leslie Carson is the center’s personalized yoga instructor and serves the community by teaching yoga practices that enhance improved mental health and well-being.
The Holistic Healing Center is committed to the health of the community and of Bucks County as a whole. The center supports local farms and sponsors a local farmers market. Its website features an in-depth “community resource” page devoted to supporting people in finding healthy food and supporting the local community and farmers who are stewarding the land utilizing sustainable and regenerative practices. There is also a page in the resource section devoted to regenerative farming and understanding its importance to personal health and the health of the planet.
